Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Agreement") meticulously before accessing or utilizing the ChaosPrep web application, mobile application, or any associated backend services (collectively, the "Platform", "Service", or "Software"). This Agreement constitutes a legally binding contract between you ("User", "You", "Your") and ChaosPrep ("Company", "We", "Us", "Our").
By registering for an account, authenticating via Google, or otherwise interacting with the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, completely understood, and irrevocably agree to be bound by every clause contained within these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms in their entirety, you are strictly prohibited from accessing the Service. We reserve the absolute right to terminate your access at any moment should you breach any element of this expansive legal agreement.
You must be at least 13 years of age to utilize this Platform. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction (typically 18), you must possess the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf. By using ChaosPrep, you represent and warrant that you meet these age requirements and possess the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
ChaosPrep utilizes third-party identity providers (e.g., Google Authentication via Firebase Auth) to verify your identity. We do not store or process your underlying passwords. You are solely and entirely responsible for maintaining the security of your third-party accounts and any API keys you input into the Platform. Any activity occurring under your authenticated session is deemed to be your activity, and ChaosPrep holds no liability for unauthorized access resulting from your failure to secure your devices or credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@chaosprep.in if you suspect your session has been compromised.
If you wish to terminate your account and permanently delete your data, you must submit a formal request via email to support@chaosprep.in. There is no automated deletion or "nuke" feature within the application. Upon verification of your request, your data will be permanently and irreversibly purged from our active systems.
Because ChaosPrep is fundamentally built on the concept of extreme peer-to-peer accountability to conquer difficult syllabus structures, the rules governing social interaction are our most strictly enforced policies.
ChaosPrep includes features such as "Accountability Squads", "Study Groups", and "Peer Connections". When you voluntarily opt into these features, you are explicitly authorizing the Platform to broadcast your real-time study state to other members of your group via Firebase's real-time WebSockets. This broadcast is continuous while the app is open and includes, but is not limited to:
The integrity of our leaderboards and accountability systems is paramount. You are strictly forbidden from engaging in "Study Fraud." This includes:
We utilize backend heuristics to detect anomalous study patterns (e.g., clocking 24 hours of uninterrupted deep work). Users found guilty of leaderboard manipulation will have their streaks wiped, their stats reset, and may face a permanent shadow-ban or outright removal from all social features without the right of appeal.
The social features of ChaosPrep are designed exclusively for academic motivation, collective struggle, and accountability. While interacting with peers, you must adhere strictly to the following Code of Conduct:
Group creators (Admins) are responsible for the initial moderation of their squads. However, ChaosPrep reserves the absolute, overarching right to unilaterally moderate, disband, shadow-ban, or permanently delete users and entire groups that violate this Code of Conduct. We may review reported group metadata and chat logs to enforce this policy. Decisions made by our moderation team are final and unappealable.
The ChaosPrep Platform, including its source code, design elements, database structures, and underlying algorithms, is the intellectual property of ChaosPrep. All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved by us.
You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Platform for your academic tracking. You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:
We monitor our systems to detect unauthorized access or data scraping. If we determine that a user is copying our code or attempting to build a competing service using our proprietary logic, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate that account. We also reserve the right to take appropriate legal action to protect our intellectual property and seek remedies for any damages incurred.
ChaosPrep integrates advanced Large Language Models, specifically leveraging Google's Gemini architecture, to provide "AI Logic", task summarization, study planning, and unstructured data parsing. You acknowledge that these AI features are highly experimental, probabilistic, and fundamentally prone to generating false, inaccurate, or nonsensical information (commonly referred to as "hallucinations").
ChaosPrep acts solely as an interface between you and the third-party AI provider. We do not review, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, safety, or academic validity of any output generated by the AI bot. You are required to independently verify all AI-generated study plans, formulas, historical facts, and schedules against official syllabus documents and verified textbooks. Under no circumstances shall ChaosPrep be held liable for any negative academic outcomes, failed exams, incorrect syllabus tracking, or loss of time resulting from your reliance on the AI bot's suggestions.
To operate certain AI features, you may be required to input your own API keys (e.g., a Google Gemini API key). By doing so, you acknowledge that:
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON an "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. ChaosPrep expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the application will meet your specific requirements, that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
No Guarantee of Success: ChaosPrep is an organizational and tracking utility. It is not an educational institution, a coaching center, or a tutoring service. We make absolutely no representations or warranties that using ChaosPrep will result in passing grades, higher percentiles, successful admission to universities, or the clearing of highly competitive exams (such as JEE Advanced, NEET-UG, UPSC CSE, CAT, etc.). Your academic performance is entirely dependent on your individual aptitude, raw effort, focus, and external study resources. The "Reality Check" and predictive features of the app are purely mathematical projections based on your input and hold no bearing on actual real-world testing environments.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CHAOSPREP, ITS FOUNDERS, DEVELOPERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. THIS COMPREHENSIVE LIMITATION INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA (INCLUDING CORRUPTED STUDY LOGS, FAILED SYNCING, OR DELETED TASKS), ACADEMIC FAILURE, LOSS OF SCHOLARSHIPS, OR ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ChaosPrep, its developers, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees and court costs) arising from: (a) your use of and access to the Platform; (b) your violation of any term of these Terms and Conditions; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right; (d) any claim that your use of the social features caused damage to a third party; or (e) your use of third-party AI APIs in violation of their respective terms of service.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 15 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Platform after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to the subject matter of these Terms shall be finally settled by binding arbitration in India, or by a court of competent jurisdiction located within India. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. You hereby waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against ChaosPrep.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under any applicable law, such unenforceability or invalidity shall not render these Terms unenforceable or invalid as a whole, and such provisions shall be deleted without affecting the remaining provisions herein. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
